Information: John J. Wolfe was born March 16, 1862, died June 24, 1927, aged 65 years, 3 months and 8 days.  He leaves a wife and nine children.  Mr. Wolfe was married twice.  The first wife was Miss Lucy Landfried.  She died in 1901.  To this union was born eight children:  Mrs. Ivy Casto, Mrs. Fred Griffith, Grover C., Homer, Ernest, Howard, Earl, Armour Wolfe.  The second wife was Miss Susan Winden.  To this marriage was born one daughter, Mrs. Henry Easter, who survives.  Mr. Wolfe is also survived by one sister, Mrs. James Hogsette.  Mr. Wolfe was a member of the U. B. church at Fairplain, an honest and honorable citizen. He enjoyed a wide circle of friends.  He enjoyed life and always made those about him pleasant and happy.  Rev. R. P. Crumpler of the M. E. Church, South, preached the funeral sermon at the home, after which burial was made in the Mt. Olive cemetery on the Spencer pike Monday.
