  <p>Information: Christopher (Chris) Winters, 49, of Florence, Ky., formerly of Ripley, died Monday, October 16, 1989, at his home following a long illness.  The son of the late Chris Sr. and Elizabeth Casto Winters of Fairplain, he was a Methodist.  He was a controller for the Kroger Company and a 1958 graduate of Ripley High School. Surviving:  wife, Sandra Skeens Winters; sons, Craig of St. Louis, Mo., and Brent of Florence; daughter, Carol of St. Louis; sisters, Dorothy Skeens of Murraysville and Kathy Smith of Ravenswood; three grandchildren.  Services will be held at 11;00 a. m. Saturday at Ephesus Baptist Church, Grasslick Road, Fairplain, with the Rev. Robert Holland officiating.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.  Friends may call at Parsons Funeral Home between 6 and 9 p.m. Friday.  The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Cancer Society.</p>
