  <p>Information: Ward Edward Winter, 73, of Fairplain, died March 23, 1987, at Jackson General Hospital, following an extended illness.  He was a former building contractor, a member of the Grasslick Baptist Church and the Masonic Lodge #16.  He is survived by his wife, Janet; sons, Henry of Kenna and William (Bill) of Knoxville, Tennessee; one daughter, Naomi Donohew of Evans; brothers, A. Ford and Harl, both of Ripley; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.  Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Grasslick Baptist Church with Rev. Timothy Showen officiating.  Burial will be in Grasslick Cemetery.  Friends may call at Parsons Funeral Home after 6 p.m. Wednesday and at the church one hour prior to the service.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society.</p>
