Information: David Leon Winter, 35, of Ripley died Friday evening at Veterans Hospital in Pittsburgh, following an extended illness.  Born in Jackson county, he was the son of Dale and Bernice Harpold Winter and was a Korean War veteran and a State road employee.  Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Helen Winter; one son, Richard David; two daughters, Terry Lynn and Susan Denise, all at home; two brothers, Fred and Donald, both of Ripley; three sisters, Mrs. Eloise Barter and Mrs. Elaine Calhoun, both of San Francisco, Calif., and Mrs. Donna Burns of Eufaula, Ala., and his parents.  Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Vail Funeral Home in Ripley with the Rev. E. H. Fisher officiating.  Burial was in the Drift Run cemetery, Sandyville.
