  <p>Information: Betty Jo Winter, 59, of Knoxville TN. passed away on Saturday, June 28, 2003, after a long and courageous battle with brain tumors.  She was surrounded by the love of her family and friends.  She was born August 10, 1943, in Charleston, the daughter of Hilda Kathleen Rankin and the late Winifred Harpold Rankin. She was a baptized Christian and was a devoted mother, sister, and grandmother.  In addition to her mother, she is survived by her brother, Ralph and wife Laura and Children Tammy Clarkson and Edward Rankin; her daughers, Kim Fortner and husband Ernie and children, Ashley, Matthew and Chelsey; Melissa and children, Kevin, Kaitlyn and Carrie; and Jennifer Grosskruetz and husband Don and children, Emily, Chad, Erica and Zoe.  In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one grandson, Michael Shane Wallace.  The family is very thankful for all her loving caregivers and Baptist Hospice for all of the wonderful care they provided.  Her passing leaves a vast void that will be felt by all that knew her.  A memorial service will be held today (Saturday) July 5, at West Towne Christian Church in Knoxville TN, at 2 pm, with George Clark officiating.  Friends may call from noon until the time of the service today.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Brain Tumor Association, 2720 River Road, Des Plaines IL 60018.</p>
