Death Notice:

Obituary Date: 1933-03-23

Information: Rosanna Esteline Bradley was born June 11th, 1865 and died March 17th, 1933, aged 67 years, 9 months and 6 days.  She was the daughter of Hiram and Jane Faber, being the last of a family of eleven children. She was united in marriage to John Delmer Bradley on April 12th, 1890.  To this union were born six children.  On daughter, an infant, preceded her in death.  Her three sons, M. R. Bradley of Sandyville, Lloyd Bradley of Mason City, Layton Bradley of Ripley and two daughters, Oma Bradley at home and Eva Rhodes of Charleston, seven grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends are left to mourn their loss. She professed her faith in Christ many years ago but never united with any church. She lived in her own way and has gone to her reward. Although in declining health for several years she bore her sufferings bravely. My earliest memories of my mother are of her as a devoted, tender, loving mother.  She was always thinking and doing for her children. She could nearly always be found at home, as her greatest ambition was in a home well kept and I feel sure Joquin Miller had mothers like her in mind when she wrote: The bravest battle that ever was fought, Shall I tell you where and when? On the map of the world you will find it not; 'Twas fought by the mothers of men. Oh, spotless in a world of shame, With splendid silent scorn? Go back to the God as white as you came The kingliest warrior born. She was a wonderful mother.
