Information: Mrs. Rachel Clark Williams, an estimable woman residing near Foster Chapel, died at the home of her son, R. E. Williams, at 2 o'clock Monday morning of asthma, aged 76 years.  Mrs. Williams was a native of Ohio, was married November 26, 1854 to James A. Williams, who preceded her to the grave November 1895.  She was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church, a devoted mother and a noble woman.  She is survived by seven children:  R. E., C. H., Bertha and Blanche Williams, Mrs. Alice Robinson of Foster Chapel, Mrs. Linnie Smalley of Braxton County, and Mrs. Elizabeth Hays of Putnam County.  The funeral services were held in the presence of a large course of people at Foster Chapel Tuesday.  Rev. E. D. W. King, assisted by Rev. Cummings, conducted the services. (McIntyre)
