Information: Holly Lee Whiting, 86, of Ripley, died Tuesday at  Care Inn after a long illness.  He was born at Belgrove, February 27,1895, son of the late Charles and Minerva Tolley Whiting.  He was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church and was an Army veteran of WW I. Surviving: one brother, Alvie Whiting of Ripley; several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Beulah Shatto Whiting.  Services will be held at 1 p.m Thursday at the Parsons Funeral Home Chapel, Ripley, with the Rev. William Eaton officiating.  Burial will follow in the Fairplain Cemetery.
